Kingham (2013)

An extension to a Grade II Listed cottage in the Cotswolds.

An Grade II Listed cottage in the Cotswolds. The design uses traditional materials in a modern way, respecting the vernacular architecture and creating a distinction between the old and the new.

The glass entrance lobby separates the original cottage and the extension. The new L shaped building encloses a new courtyard, while the large expanse of glass on both sides of the extension frames views through to the garden and from the garden towards the cottage.
